Recovered from Road Trip!!

Well, it has taken me two (or three) weeks to recover and reorganize after our road trip!  It was fun, tiring, exciting, memorable...all in one and I'm so glad to be home!

My newest endeavor is going to be homeschooling my 13 year old for his 8th grade year.  I will be updating things I learn throughout the experience.  So far, I have been buying his curriculum (I researched so many for months, so I'm excited to actually have it all picked out!) and reading all the books I can on organizing time.  I'll post a new page (on the left side of the homepage) that's all about homeschooling!

Great lodge review

Well... I don't want to leave!! It is the most family friendly place I've ever stayed. There is something for all ages to do!

Everyone knows that they have a huge indoor waterpark. Some things I didn't know though...

They have a paws pass that let's your child or children ( mine all split one pass) do all of the following:

Stuff a build a bear of their choice ( there is about ten different animals to choose from)

Play an interactive magic quest game all over the hotel. They are given a wand ( to keep) and they get to go all over the lodge looking for the clues to solve the game.

Get tokens for the huge arcade room

Get a pass to play in the gaming room

Get a round of putt Putt golf

So along with loving the waterpark... There are all these other great things to do too!!

Also... I found that when I called the lodge to book, the price was twice as much as booking on expedia.com!

(they even have kids body wash, bubble gum flavored, in the rooms!)

Backtracking.. Review of carowinds

Carowinds (south Carolina) versus six flags Texas versus fiesta Texas San Antonio...

If you want the largest rides... Six flags is your stop

If you want prettiest...full of big trees, carowinds is your stop

If you want cleanest... Carowinds

If you want a real Texas experience... Fiesta Texas is the best. They also have a laser/ firework show every night at closing.

Price wise... They are all about the same
